How I have been looking forward to this day! Thursday April 14, 2011!! The day of my Last Chemotherapy treatment. I know the outcome of each treatment which doesn't make me very excited. But to know that his should be the last does bring me excitement. This is the end of the first chapter to this journey of breast cancer.
When Terry and I went to the treatment center, we were the only one's there.... which is very surprising. The place is usually hopping with tons of patients. I was grateful I had the nurses to myself. They have been wonderful through this whole process. Chelsie, Kellie, and Jamie have been so good to me along with the Dr. and his assistant, Nancy.
When I finished my chemo the nurses brought me a bottle of Sparkling Cider with a congratulation note. I then rang the bell of completion. Boy-Did I ring it. They said it was one of the best rings ever!!
So now it is to the next chapter of my journey. I will know more soon. I have a PET scan to see the progress--killing of the cancer--on April 25. I then meet with the doctor on April 28. Then surgery will be scheduled.
